Adult Day Health Care

The Adult Day Healthcare (ADHC) program is made up of community-based, independent, facilities which provide health maintenance and rehab services to frail, elderly and impaired veterans. The program helps keep these veterans in their community and provides caregivers with respite from the daily stresses of caring for them.

All veterans who are enrolled, and who are currently being treated by the VA Boston Healthcare System, are eligible to be considered for adult day healthcare.

Social Workers assist the veteran and his/her family in selecting from among the various sites based upon the veteran's needs, the site's ability to meet those needs, and the location.

Our staff helps with:

 - coping with illness
 - emotional/behavioral problems
 - family problems
 - financial issues
 - healthcare planning
