Physical Therapy

About Physical Therapy:

Physical Therapy involves the examination and treatment of problems that affect the ability to move and function.

All of our physical therapists are licensed to practice by the state of Massachusetts. They are skilled and trained to address problems with all of the major body systems which may require therapy:

  • muscles and bones
  • brain and nerves controlling our muscles
  • heart, arteries, veins, and lungs
  • skin

Physical Therapy can help many different kinds of needs. Commonly treated are patients...

  • with knee and hip replacements
  • with broken bones
  • who have had heart, brain, or spine surgeries
  • after strokes
  • after spinal cord injury
  • with chronic lung problems, such as COPD
  • with chronic pain
  • with repetitive use injuries (carpal tunnel syndrome, tennis elbow, etc.)
  • who are amputees
