Primary Care Behavioral Health Program

Mental health services offered through the Primary Care Behavioral Health Program (PCBH) are integrated into primary care treatment and co-located in the Primary Care Clinic. Here Mental Health providers work closely with VA Primary Care providers to offer veterans optimal mental and physical health services.

Services offered by the Primary Care Behavioral Health Program include:

  • mental health assessment and diagnosis
  • brief psychotherapy for general mental health difficulties
  • medication consultations
  • education about mental health issues
  • referrals to specialized mental health services

Mental Health services are offered to veterans coping with any number of emotional or behavioral difficulties including:

  • depression
  • anxiety
  • adjustment difficulties
  • stress
  • exposure to trauma
  • interpersonal losses
  • difficulties adhering to prescribed medications
  • medical illnesses/disability
  • alcohol abuse or misuse
