About:

 

The Renal Department at VA Boston Healthcare System offers both inpatient and outpatient services for veterans who have health issues related to kidney function. Our team includes medical doctors and a nurse practitioner who specialize in the treatment of renal disease.

 

In addition, Renal has been active in clinical research projects for more than 25 years. Its investigators currently participate in research areas of Chronic Renal Disease and High Blood Pressure.

 

Services available:

  • West Roxbury: Our professionals are available 24 hours/day, 7 days/week to provide help for inpatients who experience kidney and electrolyte disorders. In addition, acute inpatient dialysis is available.
  • Jamaica Plain: Our outpatient clinic treats patients who suffer from high blood pressure and chronic renal disease. Dialysis is available.
    Clinic hours: Monday , Wednesday, & Thursday
                          8:30 am – 1:00 pm

Additional information:

 

The services of the Renal Department are available through referral by a primary care provider.
