The Ambulatory Diagnostic and Treatment Center (ADTC) is a specialty outpatient clinic in the department of Medicine at VA Boston Healthcare System.

Our physicians treat patients who have been referred by any of a number of our Health Services, including Primary Care, inpatient Medical care, outpatient Surgical, Urgent Care, Substance Abuse Rehabilitation, and others.

Services:

Our mission is to provide expedited testing and workup for a variety of patients. They may include those veterans:
  • with complicated medical problems who can be treated in an outpatient setting, or
  • who require close attention with new or unstable medical conditions, such as
    • Poorly-controlled diabetes
    • Congestive heart failure
    • Hypertension
    • New findings on x-rays or other images that warrant further testing
  • who have recently been discharged from the hospital
  • who are scheduled for elective surgery. Our medical physicians work closely with the surgical staff to evaluate the needs of patients with medical issues prior to their surgery.
